Event type:
User group meeting

This is a joint Drupal meetup with eCommerce Merchants and has been cross-posted from Meetup.com.

RSVP: http://www.meetup.com/eCommerce-Merchants-Los-Angeles-Chapter/events/142...
Short URL: http://ex.tl/ZnE

For our October meeting we are going to take a look at the recently launched KaleCart.com website, a custom Drupal based e-commerce website of an organic grocery delivery service start-up in Downtown Los Angeles.

The KaleCart.com website features:

  • Mobile-friendly HTML 5 responsive theme and fluid product catalog
  • Delivery scheduling widget
  • Product catalog filtering for dietary designations
  • Instagram image feed block
  • Flexible coupon system
  • Credit card payment gateway
  • Automatic product image processing

When we are done taking a look at KaleCart.com we can brainstorm potential topics of interest for future Meetups and open the floor to questions to see if we can help each other with specific challenges we are having starting or operating our own e-commerce projects.

Following the presentation at Droplabs we will be heading over to a restaurant at nearby Chinatown for lunch and networking.

Drupal 7 + PayEverywhere (Merchant e-Solutions)

Posted by jessSchn on September 26, 2013 at 6:08pm

I was wondering if anyone has setup Drupal to work with PayEverywhere (a product of Merchant e-Solutions)? I have a site that selected this payment solution and I need to expand the "create an account" form to include credit card information. The short version is people need to buy an account on drupal in order to login and use the site.

I'm just looking for the best way to go about this. Thanks!

Best practice of Omega Kickstart sub theming

Posted by catchlight on August 24, 2013 at 4:28am

I'm using Omega on a Drupal Commerce website. I'm not using the Commerce Kickstart Install profile, but I am using a custom sub theme of the Omega Kickstart theme (which is a sub theme of Omega)

In other words...

Omega 7.x-3.1 -> Omega Kickstart 7.x-3.4 -> myCustomTheme

What's the best practice for overriding CSS in myCustomTheme?

Here's some background if necessary...

If I look at the page source, stylesheets seem to be coming from the following places:

  1. sites/all/themes/myCustomTheme/css/
  2. sites/all/themes/omega/alpha/css/
  3. sites/all/themes/omega_kickstart/css/

Advance Drupal Commerce into Media webshop, how?

Posted by summit on June 16, 2013 at 1:44pm

Hi,

I think it would be great to be able to combine drupal efforts in media, commerce, subscription to get a nice commerce media framework.

My own goals are to build a drupal commerce website with
1) streaming media products which can be bought or
2) downloadable mp3s, ebooks, videos
2) temporal access (and sometime given away by the right medical disease).
3) have a subscription service like gold, silver, bronze.

I saw this post here: https://groups.drupal.org/node/291643

Help each other with usecases: how to alter add to cart button disabled link (SOLVED)

Posted by summit on June 3, 2013 at 5:43pm

Hi,
I think this usecase is something which occurs with multiple webshops. You want to alter the add to cart submit button to a link when the product is not available -> "Disabled".
To show the customer that the link is disabled is not enough value. Preferrable is to show the customer an option to get in touch with you so you can tell him when the product is available or show an alternative.
Therefore I would very much like to be able to alter the "disabled" product submit button text and add a link to my contactform.

Issue with file upload in line-item and product attributes

Posted by wla_g on May 28, 2013 at 10:04am

I try to setup a commerce site where the customer can order prints. The prints can have choices of papersize and paperquality. These are setup as attributes fields at a new product type called print.
Beside that the customer has to upload the picture he wants to get printed. Therefore I created a custom line-item with a file field to collect the file. Then, after creating the product display, the product shows up ok with the two selection fields and the file upload field.

Drupal Commerce Belgium Netherlands groep gestart

Posted by summit on May 20, 2013 at 12:56pm

Hoi,

Subscription Video Service

Posted by irishgringo on April 2, 2013 at 2:04pm

I am new to Commerce, but not new to DRUPAL.
I want to build a subscription Video service, starting next week, so I am just collecting some study material now. I wanted to get some advice, comments, instructions, examples, anything that may be out there about what I want to do.

I actually have a couple of Use Case models that I want to do.

The first is a video education system. The users need to pay a subscription fee, but can also use coupons. It is for the non profit healthcare industry.

so... Itemized list of features.
