This is a list of the known Drupal user groups in California. Here are some of the things that can be done with this information:

• It is now much easier to find the California groups you'd like to join. Just click the name of the group you want to join and click the "Join" link in the sidebar of that group's page.
• If you are creating a new group in California, list it here to let others know about it.
• Depending on how #1074208 (Add a location field to group node) goes, a California-specific map showing the user groups can be created using this information (e.g. a Google map with markers showing the locations of all the groups and their meetups)
• Add your ideas here!

Our last two meetings have focused on more technical Drupal topics
(Debugging with Eclipse and using CAS and LDAP). This month we're
breaking it down to some powerful Drupal basics: The Views module
(http://drupal.org/documentation/modules/views). Michelle Ziegmann
gives a great presentation on views, which will be of interest to both
new Drupal users and people who have created a few views in Drupal but
want to go deeper.

Sean Lange will explore a few ways to do 'simple theming' on your views (no template required), answer questions related to Views theming, and discuss some of the display settings available in Views.

Rolling into summer 2011 and what a year its been. A year of changes and greatness. I moved my job from Commerce Guys and now work at Chapter Three a move I am so happy about.

With PNWDS and BADcamp so close to each other I am thinking of maybe taking the Coast Starlight from Portland to the Bay. Who's with me? We could rent some apartment in Berkeley to further cut costs.

I have Alec Reynolds coming down to show us how he built a Quora style Q&A site using the AJAX Inline Search Module. Pretty cool stuff to learn about and see how its implemented. Innovative uses of Drupal like this are Exactly what SFDUG is all about.

The Sacramento Drupal Users Group is pleased to announce the first ever Drupal Camp Sacramento Area.

This auspicious event will be two days full of sessions, BoFs, code sprinting, and engagement. Registration is now open and session proposals are now being accepted.
