Advanced Poll

Hello,

I'm on Drupal 7.41 and OpenAtrium 7.x-2.52.
I have installed Advanced Poll (Version: 7.x-3.0-alpha1+2-dev) and now I'm trying to uninstall it but it doesn't work.
The "Uninstall" list in OpenAtrium offered me "Advanced Poll Field" and "Advanced Poll" and following the corresponding instruction I first uninstalled "Advanced Poll Field" and then "Advanced Poll".
In each case I got the message that the modules were successfully uninstalled and these two modules aren't in the "Uninstall" list anymore.

It's great to see that this module is again under development. I've been frustrated for years at the inability to include polls in our corporate blogs. That said, I'm having trouble getting started with the latest version. Is there installation documentation anywhere? I've added a content type with a poll field, and the questions do not appear as poll questions in the article.

UPDATE: It seems that part of my problem was an incorrect machine name. Apparently it must be 'advpoll'. Now I get the error "Please enter at least two choices" when I try to save. I have 3. Image attached.

I have just been appointed co-maintainer of the advanced poll module.

As you may have noticed, the module has gone without any commits for a couple of years now, and there is quite a backlog in the issue queue.

I'd really like to work through this backlog with a view to releasing a stable version of the module.

Yesterday I went through and committed or knocked back all the RTBC issues. My next priority will be to work through 'needs review' patches and commit where possible.

I'm focussing on bug reports and leaving any feature requests to a future version.

Hi, I am looking to run voting through advanced poll for an organisation for the election of committee members.
The website has different member levels, some of which can vote and some who can't.
How do I identify those persons who can vote for the electoral role as I don't see where this role can be assigned.

Great module. Is there any way of displaying the results in the order they were created in the choice field in the backend?

At the moment of course they are sorted by number of votes descending which although being too clever by half is not what I need at the moment.

I'd like to show the user the choices list, with their selections highlighted, rather than the 'Sorry Results are not available' - It seems that the choices are not available from the template in question however. Can anyone suggest a good way to access that data?

There is no translation of Advanced Poll for Drupal 7, I'd like to do it.I'm member of french team of translations.

I'd like the ability to have a set of choices appear by default when creating a new poll. I'm currently working on a voting application and it would be convenient to be able to have 'Yea', 'Nay', and 'Abstain' appear as default choices whenever a new poll is created.

I looked at the code a bit but I'm not sure where this type of functionality should be added. I think it would make sense to add it as optional behavior inside the content type. Possibly add a "default number of choices" and "default choice values" as a comma-delimited list?

Any help/direction would be appreciated.

I work for the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychologists as a web developer.

Some years ago (2009) we commissioned some modifications to AdvPoll and have been using it to nominate new members in our organization as well as voting on and awarding annual awards.

Now we'd like to port the modified poll to D7 and wonder if we can enlist the help of the Drupal community of developers rather than face the estimated 10,000ドル cost we have been quoted by the company, which shall remain nameless.

In exchange for help from the community we'd turn over the code modifications.

Is there a way to create poll options that only allow one choice out of many? (Sort of like a binary poll, but only allowing one choice.)

i am new to drupal, so pls pardon me for such silly qtn. i have pulled down advanced and added it to my drupak site. I have created 2 binary polls and now iam not able to figureout how to display it for users to participate and also be able to see the results. I want to show it either in a block or in a page. By default advanced poll only creates a "latest poll" kind of block. that also doesnt show any of the choices. it just shows the results that nobody has voted yet.

If some could help me out on this.

Hey all, this is really a two part question... (specifically, for the Advanced Poll Block) does anyone know of a way to:

1) Show the results (instead of voting options) for Anonymous (not-logged-in) users?

2) Change the "you are not eligible" $message to a "[login] or [register] to vote" message?

Hey guys, Anders and I are planning to do an official 1.0 release of Advanced Poll pretty soon. This will be a high quality version of Advanced Poll that has all major features working and is relatively bug free. It will also serve as the base for our Drupal 6 port of advpoll, which we will start working on after the first D6 Release Candidate, so it needs to be solid.

If there is anything in particular you want to argue for, or unreported bugs you've found, now is the time to speak up.

Here's what I would like to be accomplished over the next month:

1. Fix all bugs currently in the issue queue and implement all feature requests.
2. Better display/theming of configuration options in the poll display (e.g. duration, starting date, eligibility, etc.).
3. Views integration.
4. Default options per content-type.
5. jQuery magic for ranking votes.
6. Email capability for electoral list - option to send to all who are eligible, those who have voted, or those who haven't voted.
7. Actual releases for 5.0 and 4.7 branches.
