FYI, something along these lines has been integrated into "my" fork of gg:

Propose go.mod and go.sum.
This is hard from a fork, but that should be OK.
In any case, examples are not separated in several directories, so that avoid the go.sum to be cleaned.
This fixes the version of dependencies.
