CinEuphoria Awards

[edit ]

Hi, I'm in an edit warring with a user determined to add an award from CinEuphoria Awards on Jacob Anderson page. They only provided a citation to IMDb, insisting it's a legit award because there are several Wikipedia pages included it. I have checked all of them and none cites better source than IMDb and a Blogspot. But since it's a Portuguese page, I'm afraid I'm not familiar about it and may have made a mistake. So, I'd like to ask if anyone knows about this award? You can find my discussion on it so far on here. If it is indeed a not notable award, I'll proceed the user to WP:ANI soon. Thanks - Yolo4A4Lo (talk) 09:36, 9 December 2024 (UTC) [reply ]

Don't have time to look into it, but at the very least the interwiki should be changed to CinEuphoria Awards  [es] to make it more obvious it's an interwiki. Primefac (talk) 13:05, 9 December 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
Done. I'd be very grateful if anyone could look into it. - Yolo4A4Lo (talk) 01:17, 10 December 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
Hmm.... based on this and that it looks like this is an award created by a blogger; I would make the argument then that it is not a notable award and probably shouldn't be included on the article. I've cross-posted to the article's talk page since this has already started here. Primefac (talk) 13:54, 10 December 2024 (UTC) [reply ]

There is a requested move discussion at Talk:Hungarian Music Awards#Requested move 9 December 2024 that may be of interest to members of this WikiProject. Feeglgeef (talk) 19:49, 9 December 2024 (UTC) [reply ]

There is an ongoing discussion at Talk:List of awards and nominations received by Ariana Grande#Spotify Plaques about whether a plaque given to an artist for reaching 1 billion streams on Spotify should be listed in the awards table. Please participate, thanks! Flabshoe1 (talk) 13:49, 9 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Format of Booker Prize awards lists

[edit ]

There is a discussion at Talk:2024_Booker_Prize#New_table_layout about a proposed (and implemented, for 2024) change to the layout of these tables. Comments would be welcome. Pam D 00:03, 19 February 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

I implemented the change. My logic was that two lists with repeated titles was harder to maintain (ie new links to books would need to be added in two places etc), and it was not obvious at first glance that the shortlisted books were repeated in the long list. I also wanted to make the single list sortable.
I take the point about not relying on colour to convey information. However, that is the only way that the winner is currently indicated in the list - so perhaps this is an opportunity to solve that problem at the same time.
So - perhaps the answer is 3 blocks: winner, shortlist (without longlist) and longlist (without shortlist)?
Or perhaps there is a way that allows for a single list by indicating 'winner', 'shortlisted', 'longlisted' as a new column in the table - with the table sorted by default by that column. And perhaps the winner in Bold, as is already done in some of the lists.
In any case, if an improvement cannot be agreed, I will undo what I have done for 2024 and 2023. If we can agree on an improved table, I am happy to work through the other years (gradually!) to make them consistent. I also want to add the infobox and author photo (where available).
Thanks for your work on wikipedia! 94.174.72.39 (talk) 21:02, 20 February 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Apologies - I had not logged in when I added the above. 94.174.72.39 (talk) 21:04, 20 February 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
I just noticed that the International Booker prize has a single table per year, but divides between shortlist and longlist (and winner) using a field for the purpose - and is the table is sortable as well.
