The Auto Trails task force coordinates all articles about auto trails: named highways that were promoted by non-government associations. This includes those that were designated after the 1920s, when routes were numbered, such as the Ocean Highway (1936).

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:
- Cleanup : :Reduce the length of Lincoln Highway introduction, and incorporate any useful information there into the body of the article
- Expand : :Pole markers and signs for existing auto trail articles. Auto trail signs and markers in Commons. Done
- Infoboxes for all existing articles. Working
- Map : :Discuss methods for making auto trail maps for articles
