Articles to fix
[edit ]If there is a Maryland-related article that already exists but you would like to see it cleaned up or expanded, add it below
- Darby Store - has not been updated in 10 years, planned move has happened
- John Lee Carroll - expand article
- Arthur Pue Gorman - expand article
- Josias Fendall – long article with zero references
- Frederick County Sheriff's Office
- Nancy K. Kopp - expand article
- Maddox, Maryland - expand article
- John Eager Howard – cleaned up, but still room for expansion
- Abingdon, Maryland- needs referencing, expansion of history section, and perhaps a few pictures
- Moses Rawlings - needs expansion and more sources
- Capitol College – reads as an historical timeline, not terribly encyclopedic. needs expansion, maybe some abridging.
- Seneca Quarry - could be expanded from the sources added, rewritten for clarity
- Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Bridge, Antietam Creek - seems to no longer exist; doesn't show up on satellite images at listed coordinates
- I'm dubious that the coordinates in question were correct. Mangoe (talk) 19:38, 28 April 2014 (UTC) [reply ]
- According to http://bridgehunter.com/md/washington/long/, the bridge status is "Removed completely, piers visible on google & bing maps". Perhaps they were visible in prior map versions. —ADavidB 15:57, 29 April 2014 (UTC) [reply ]
- Ah, looking at topo maps shows the coordinates are close enough and that the bridge is not there anymore. Mangoe (talk) 16:31, 29 April 2014 (UTC) [reply ]

Adopt an article
[edit ]Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.
