Thanks

Thanks for adding the reference section to the list draft. So much more approachable. Vykta (talk) 21:23, 2 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ministry of Information and Communications Technology.

Speedy deletion declined: Rajiv Ruparelia (Ruparelia Group)

[edit ]

Hello Rotideypoc41352. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Rajiv Ruparelia (Ruparelia Group), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:19, 10 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Information icon Hi, Rotideypoc41352. Thanks for patrolling new pages. I've declined your deletion request for a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to read the new tutorial for patrollers, criteria for speedy deletion, and particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Thanks! 204.111.137.106 (talk) 14:59, 25 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Note to self: I've reverted IP with an edit summary specifying that both entries on Douhua (disambiguation) now redirect to article at base page name Douhua. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 19:06, 25 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Yes you have redirected them both to the same page, and strictly speaking the DAB can be deleted. But if the redirection is challenged then WP:ATD-R comes into play and we have to undelete the page. Would still have been better to wait on it for a short period even after the redirection just in case to reduce the odds of forcing everyone into unnecessary work. 204.111.137.106 (talk) 19:27, 25 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
No. I only redirected "Flower" tofu "Flower" tofu .[1] Per Special:Diff/1226826639, the move of the other page—Douhua itself—from its longstanding title at Tofu brains Tofu brains was challenged at WP:RM/TR last year, a little over a month after the bold move itself. Douhua has been at that title ever since.
Ergo: if my redirection were contested, the dab would still qualify under {{one other }}. If the dab is somehow eligible for expansion, a polite inquiry at WP:RFU can restore page history nigh painlessly.
All I kindly ask in return for being templated is that you please take an extra five minutes to check the pages themselves, the histories, and the logs. Perhaps a nice bowl of douhua in return for forcing everyone into [the] unnecessary work of reading my reply to your misunderstanding?[just kidding] Thank you.—Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 20:12, 25 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Pages tagged with Template:One other are not eligible for speedy deletion, they are usually WP:PRODed after a few weeks of sitting in the backlog. Remember the only advantage of CSD is volume management it is absolutely inferior to other forms of deletion in every other way.
If you do not like the wording of the canned message feel free to propose changes on its talk page. 204.111.137.106 (talk) 21:32, 25 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

(Diff is from WP:RM/TR and the bot in question Tenshibot) Understood and thanks, Tenshi! (off topic) just out of curiosity, have you considered making a doppelganger account at Tenshi! (talk + · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki )? I've seen a few new users ping the wrong username when replying to you. Again, just wondering. Thanks again! Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 23:13, 30 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
I'm not really sure if it'd be helpful. I've seen Tenshi, Tenshil, and Tenshi Hinanawai. It's pretty obvious that my username is hard to type. In any case though, I'd rather limit the number of accounts I do have, since if I create one for each misspelling that could add up quickly. Tenshi! (Talk page) 23:43, 30 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit ]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page . If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:31, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Extra shortcuts

[edit ]

What's your goal with this edit? Normally, if editors want to know all the shortcuts, they go to Special:WhatLinksHere, e.g, WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:51, 13 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

To restore what had been there without issue for years. A temporary account moved the shortcuts and the HTML comment to the RMTR page itself, and someone—too tired to search the edit history—removed the HTML comment. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 03:34, 14 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Why should that HTML comment exist at all, on any page? WhatamIdoing (talk) 04:10, 14 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
I am sorry for being a bit short about this. Perhaps I would have more patience with your inquiries in a better year. Few have reminded me more acutely than this one that life is short. An HTML comment is just not a priority for me. Do whatever you want with it. I'd like to fully enjoy the company of my friends and family instead of explaining to them that I'm on Wikipedia spending words and time disproportionate to the actual impact [on readers] of an HTML comment I wrote.
If you meant this as camaraderie-building small talk: please excuse my misinterpretation. I think the original comment was to prevent bloat in {{shortcut }}, to ask editors to avoid stuffing it with every shortcut under the sun there. It certainly stopped past me, but I am (hopefully) still humble enough that to remember that perhaps what is not obvious to me may indeed be blatant to everyone else (cue canned laughter at me, etc).
Was your question meant to be a didactic exercise, to prompt me to think twice before editing? I'm genuinely sorry and will be more thoughtful going forward. Thank you for being gentle with my unfamiliarity with the communication styles of high context cultures and in general for your patience and understanding.
