My early edits from March–September 2025 were done as an IP user, partly out of habit but also because I find the logged-in user interface too cluttered. I've since been able to customise it more to my liking: [a] This page has become useful as a central hub through which to navigate my work, given that I don't find the watchlist mechanic particularly healthy. I don't mean to claim any of the articles I've contributed to.
I've nominated Thuggee for a good article review, if it interests you then please feel free to start the review. I've pledged to review two more articles in response here. Thanks.
I like to work in areas that I think have been neglected, either because they're too controversial, too complicated, or too inconvenient. As interesting as these articles are they tend to centre around people who rather let themselves down— more uplifting stories can be found in Chouraqui, Sister Hélène, and ultimately Giraud relative to his peers.
Articles I've rewritten or created:

- Melnykites (created)
- Nastup (Ukrainian periodical) (created)

I've also written an essay that seeks to guide editors disposed to experiment with large language models on how they can use them responsibly, outside of content generation. Improvements and feedback are welcome: Wikipedia:Responsibly using large language models

Origin of "Thuggees" misnomer
In the same vein as 'robberies':
- as of 1837: Thornton's Illustrations of the History and Practices of the Thugs and The Literary Gazette (London)
To refer to the individuals:
- January 1838: The Spectator , reviewing Thornton's book. Possibly the first such instance.
- 1873–4: Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days
- 1976: Tony Thomas's The Great Adventure Films in a synopsis of Gunga Din (1939), which itself used 'Thugs' and has been established as a central influence on the writers of Temple of Doom (1984).
The Deceivers infiltration trope
- THE LATE MR. NATHANIEL JOHN HALHED, 1895: "Many annecdotes were formerly current of his astounding familiarity with [the Bengali language]. He used to dress himself as a native and went through all the gambling shops, conversing freely with the natives with such a fluency that no one could detect him."[1]
