Ryan Janzen's contributions to science

[edit ]

I've noticed a persistent attempt to turn Janzen's bio section into a promotional piece with references to his personal web pages and claims about contributions to areas of scientific research not found in academic literature (absement, powerline-communication in aircraft). If Janzen is responsible for noteworthy contributions to a given field of scientific research then it should be easy to show their significance by referring to peer-reviewed papers or some mention in independent journalistic sources. You can't just say you founded the research field of Quantum Florp Dynamics.Wes Kyle (talk) 02:40, 18 April 2018 (UTC) [reply ]

This article is little more than a collection of press releases

[edit ]

Going through the article verifying links has shown a pattern of the same citations being used again and again, a large proportion of citations just being from TransPod itself, and some "news" articles being just TransPod press releases. Where is the meat? There are references to test tracks (tubes?) that were going to be built before 2024, but TransPod hasn't done anything since their 2022 presentation in Toronto but put out press releases. And I don't know what to do about the claims of an entirely new branch of physics ("veillance") being discovered by Janzen. - Wikkiwonkk (talk) 10:46, 26 May 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
