Patricia Vandross

[edit ]

the article on the crests lists patricia vandross as luther vandross's aunt, not his sister. this should be reconciled.Toyokuni3 (talk) 18:26, 14 October 2015 (UTC) [reply ]

(deceased) on Former Members?

[edit ]

Other (band) wiki articles have former members parenthetically marked (deceased) when people have died. Should this happen here? ArtDent (talk) 19:39, 5 August 2019 (UTC) [reply ]

Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn BridgeThe Brooklyn Bridge (group) – In most of the group's releases, Johnny Maestro is part of the group and it is simply named "The Brooklyn Bridge". • I'm inclined to keep it as is. I'm not clear on what the official name is or was – it may have changed multiple times over the years. This is a common name for the band though. As the lead says "known as The Brooklyn Bridge Band since 2010" (the year Maestro died) I think the preferred disambiguation which is most commonly used is "(band)", not "(group)". Then there is the question as to whether the band is "The Brooklyn Bridge" (see WP:THE). I'm fine with the current natural disambiguation even if the more common name left out Johnny Maestro. – wbm1058 (talk) 18:53, 30 July 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
  • Agree with above comment. "Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge" is WP:NATURAL disambiguation and a common name, whether or not it is the most common. If the article were to be moved, it would be to Brooklyn Bridge (band), but there seems to be no advantage to that. Station1 (talk) 18:26, 14 August 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn BridgeThe Brooklyn Bridge (band) – "Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge" is the name of the revival act formed in the 1980s. That name refers to "The Brooklyn Bridge", the original Buddah Records act that had a hit song with "Worst That Could Happen" E-Kartoffel (talk) 05:52, 20 August 2021 (UTC) — Relisting.
