Which Sophie Masson

[edit ]

Is the Pont Sophie-Masson across the Rivière des Mille Îles named after her, or is there another Sophie Masson? Peter Horn User talk 01:17, 1 June 2011 (UTC) [reply ]

Given that the bridge carries a road which was given the name "Montée Masson" in the early 18th Century, the bridge was almost certainly named after someone who lived in that region in that era. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth - timed 01:46, 1 June 2011 (UTC) [reply ]
This blog suggests the bridge (the one built in 2009, not the older structure it replaced) was named after someone who lived in the area in the mid-19th Century. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth - timed 01:51, 1 June 2011 (UTC) [reply ]
So Sophie Masson should eventually become a {{tl:disamb}} page so as to accomodate this widow and/or her seigneur husband. Peter Horn User talk 23:32, 1 June 2011 (UTC) [reply ]

Bibliography

[edit ]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. Feel free to continue. Sunwin1960 (talk) 04:43, 20 August 2016 (UTC) [reply ]
