The name of this article

What is the reason for the spelling "Schwarcz"? All of the sources in the article use "Schwartz". The contemporary English Jewish sources such as the Palestine Post used "Schwartz". His trial documents, his advocate (lawyer), the Chief Justice, his fiance Hava Finkilstein, the Jewish Agency, Chief Rabbi Herzog, the Head of the Ashkenasic Jewish Community of Jerusalem, the Warrant of Execution signed by the High Commissioner, the response from the Privy Council, and sundry official documents of the Mandatory government used "Schwartz". I also found two minority variants: "Shwartz" and "Schwarz".

"Schwarcz" is possibly a Czech variant of the name, but the letter of appeal from the Czech Consul General to Palestine also used "Schwartz". This article started life as "Schwartz" but was changed to "Schwarcz" by a sock now blocked.

However, just as I was about to end this post with a promise to rename the article back to "Schwartz", I came across a telegram from his parents in Prague and another from his brothers and sisters, which use "Schwarcz". So that spelling has a solid basis after all. It doesn't necessarily prove Mordechai used that spelling in Palestine (if so, wouldn't his lawyer spell it right?) but we have a clash between his apparent birth name and the overwhelmingly common name.
