Birth name
[edit ]Is Jeska's birth name known - it seems an odd omission from an encyclopedic article? JezGrove (talk) 19:47, 14 March 2017 (UTC) JezGrove (talk) 19:47, 14 March 2017 (UTC) [reply ]
- I've found one source that says she was born Michael. Unfortunately that source is the Daily Mail.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 20:01, 14 March 2017 (UTC) [reply ]
- Thanks, that's a shame. (It's the newspaper of the year, apparently. Though in the fake news age, I'm not entirely sure how valuable that award is...) JezGrove (talk) 20:28, 15 March 2017 (UTC) [reply ]
- This article in The Guardian confirms Jeska's birthname as Michael and includes some other biographical details. JezGrove (talk) 13:43, 18 March 2017 (UTC) [reply ]

Motivation is unclear?
[edit ]The 'Attempted murder' section of the article states:
"In June 2015, UK Athletics told Jeska that she would be required to provide blood tests to prove that her hormone levels were within normal female range, as there was no documentation for Jeska's 2000 castration. Jeska found this requirement distressing as she felt it would reveal her transgender status publicly."
The section isn't clear about 1) why Jeska thought the blood tests would be abnormal, 15 years after the claimed gonadectomy, and 2) why providing the samples, presumably a confidential medical process, would "reveal her transgender status publicly" .
