Leading up to November 2002, in the area around the Saint John's campus, male college students had been the subject of attacks (including attempted abductions) and stalkings. For example Joshua Guimond (born June 18, 1982) is an American man vs. He was around six feet tall, weighed 176 pounds, and had blonde hair and blue eyes. I'm not sure if past or present tense would be more appropriate here but whichever you use it should be consistent. IntentionallyDense (talk) 00:53, 1 October 2024 (UTC) [reply ] - The issue comes from the fact that he has never been legally declared dead, so it would be unwise to say he "was" a person, but it's hard to talk about someone who disappeared 20 years ago as if they're still alive. I changed it to "He is around six feet tall and has blue eyes. He had blonde hair and weighed 176 pounds. On one of his shoulders, he has a four-inch vertical scar."; his height, eye color, and scar have little chance of changing in 20 years, but his weight and hair color do. Does this work? I don't know if there is a specific rule regarding this but to me either one seems appropriate as long as you are consistent about which tense you are using.
