I edited the new page for grammar and wording - also, I think, saved from wp:copy violation, but I'm out of my depth in terms of the workings of a power station. Per other articles about power generating plants in WP, I think the article should be here, but I can't add more to it right now. Wikipelli Talk 14:11, 28 February 2011 (UTC) [reply ]

Cowes = Kingston?

[edit ]

I'm not finding any references that suggest that the Cowes Power station is also known as the Kingston Power Station. Can someone provide a reference to that? Thanks! Wikipelli Talk 23:14, 2 March 2011 (UTC) [reply ]

Search "kingston power station Cowes" in Google and you'll see it gets mentioned plenty of times as Kingston power station. The site is on Kingston Road, after all. One thing I do think should be mentioned in the article is that it is actually in East Cowes - obviously a completely different town to Cowes. I guess I'll defer to those who know the geography there better. :) What influences me the most is the power company's own public information page refers to the station only as Cowes. It is on Kingston Road so maybe that's how locals refer to it? Wikipelli Talk 12:48, 11 March 2011 (UTC) [reply ]
