Kyle or Kyler?

[edit ]

The recent change from Kyle to Kyler has been made by an anonymous IP 208.22.249.10 that has been the source of furtive vandalism and mis"corrections". Which is correct: Kyle like his father or Kyler? --Wetman 19:06, 26 October 2006 (UTC) [reply ]

I have looked on several websites and found that 7 of the 8 that listed Petty's middle name had "Kyler". This is certainly not an endorsement on my part since these websites were all tributes by fans. The Petty Racing website and nascar.com have bios of Adam Petty but not his middle name.

Adam Andretti

[edit ]

Where is the source for him being named after Adam Andretti? This is probably fake considering Adam Andretti was only born a year before Petty.

Reads like a fan page.

[edit ]

The following reads like a fan page- "Petty was raised in High Point, North Carolina into stock car racing "royalty". The son of Kyle Petty, he was widely expected to become the next great Petty, following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather Richard, and great-grandfather Lee. He was the first known fourth-generation athlete in all of modern American motor sports to participate in the chosen profession of his generations." I'm going to change this. 2601:483:100:CB54:808E:3128:BEAC:2B97 (talk) 00:58, 15 March 2017 (UTC) [reply ]
