This article is a bit too wordy for me, which is why I've added the {{essay-entry}} template. See A1 and A66 for good examples of how a roads article should be laid out, and not simply a narrative of all its waypoints, which is not useful for an encyclopedia. Cambridge Road

Triple Carriageway

What on earth is a triple carriageway? Did the original writer mean a three lane dual carriageway? Triple carriageway would imply three entirely distinct sets of lanes each separated by barriers and possibly a grass central reservation between each of the three carriageways.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.154.25.30 (talk • contribs)

Having read the article, I know where the ambiguity comes from. I think what is meant, is that there will be a contiguous dual carriageway and a single carriageway. The single carriageway would serve local traffic, and the dual carriageway for through traffic (cf. A1(M) and A168 in Yorkshire) — superbfc [ talk | cont ] — 18:10, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
