Uniqueness of black officers

[edit ]

The intro says that the 370th was the only US Army combat unit in WW1 to have black officers; this seems to me that it would have to be incorrect, as, for instance, the 369th Infantry Regiment also had black officers. In the body of the article, the more specific claim that it was the only unit commanded entirely by black officers is made (cited to a twenty-first-century press release by the Illinois National Guard), which seems more possible to me, though I don't have the knowledge to say one way or the other. Anyone have the sources to make sure the article's statements are all verifiable? Binabik80 (talk) 17:17, 15 November 2021 (UTC) [reply ]
