The habenular trigone is a small[1] depressed[2] triangular area[1] [2] situated (sources differ) anterior[1] /superior[2] to the superior colliculus. It contains the habenular nuclei.[1] [2]

The habenular trigone is situated on the lateral aspect of the posterior part of the taenia thalami.[2]
