This is a minor update of mostly technical changes.

• Set window icon
• Add a missing SDL_FreeSurface()
• Try to use system PATH_MAX
• Make the makefile more overridable

The prebuilt downloads below – for amd64/x86_64 and arm64/aarch64 – are built on Debian 12 but will likely work on other GNU/Linux distros as well. There's also a version with only the arch-independent assets prebuilt, mainly intended to simplify building in systems where all the necessary tools are not available.

Parallel Overhead is also available on Flathub and openSUSE (packaged by Martin Hauke), though these obviously won't be up to date immediately on release.

Available below are binaries are built on Debian 12 amd64 (x86_64) and arm64. They'll likely work on other GNU/Linux distros as well.

This release is mostly preparation for submission to Flathub, where the game is now available as net.huitsi.ParallelOverhead. See the previous release for traditional prebuilt binaries.

This is a small release mostly to update the builds for Debian 12.

• Update the build instructions for Debian 12
• Provide a basic manpage created with help2man
• Fix a minor bug in shader file loading
• Rename the icon and desktop entry files. To avoid duplicate files, previous versions should be uninstalled before installing this one.

WARNING: This game is visually intensive and has rapidly changing colors.

Introduce click/tap controls, allow changing game parameter through command line options and improve the build system.

ParallelOverhead-buster-amd64.tar.gz was built on Debian 10 and should work on most newer GNU/Linux distros.

ParallelOverhead-mobian-bookworm-arm64.tar.gz was built on a PinePhone running Mobian. It's a bit glitchy but very playable.
