Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a window.
2. Alt+Tab to 'Show Desktop'.
What happens:
Focus remains in the opened window, not handed over to desktop. The title bar shows the title of the window, not blank space as when the desktop has focus. Most annoyingly, key presses are sent to the window, not to the desktop. For instance: this sentence was written while my screen was showing only the desktop.
What should happen:
Focus should be given to the desktop just as if you had clicked it.

status confirmed
Good job on recording the video, though you appear to be a experiencing a different issue than me. In my case, the desktop is shown, but focus remains in the previous window, so I e.g. can't use keys to navigate the desktop.
IMO, both the attached videos to show the problem have actually the same root cause which probably a bug from the mimized window previews branch that got in with last update of Unity. I have seen both issues my self on several different ocassions.
setting to a milestone so that its made its being tracked
