It is 2026 and qbitorrent still doesn't have an universal sequential mode.
uTorrent had it 10 years ago.
Also, qbittorrent isn't portable. There is no official portable version, and the one offered by PortableApps isn't even listed on their website. For that reason I edited it to remove the Portable tag.

What is qBittorrent?
qBittorrent is an open-source project offering an ad-free alternative to μTorrent. It has a similar user interface and includes an integrated search engine for multiple torrent sites and specific categories like books and music. The software supports various BitTorrent extensions, like magnet links, DHT, PEX, LSD, and private torrents. It also supports encrypted connections and remote control through a web interface. It allows sequential downloading and advanced control over torrents, trackers, and peers. Other features include torrent queueing, content selection, bandwidth scheduling, and IP filtering (eMule & PeerGuardian format compatible). It's IPv6 compliant, supports UPnP/NAT-PMP port forwarding, and is available on multiple platforms in around 70 languages.

Simple, nice UI, the performance is good, the best for normal & advanced users.
Very often, the program will show "Missing Files" when first adding torrents. Making me choose another.

It's lightweight and VERY reliable! Awesome client on Mint!! Been using it for years now!
The main issue here is that the BitTorrent protocol offers no privacy at all. Your IP address will be exposed to scammers and corporate law firms, making you an easy target. The alternative is to use a paid VPN service with port forwarding, but paying for "file-sharing" is simply absurd and totally goes against the principle of P2P; qBittorrent doesn't seem to care, act or fix anything regarding this fundamental question.
how is this a problem with qbitorrent? that's just how the protocol works. that's like blaming web browsers for the lack of privacy in the internet
Fast, lightweight, with a nice user interface, and it's available in almost every language.
I would give it more than a five star rating if I could.
It often gets stuck processing torrent so it never appears in the list. I've tried updating and using other versions, but it still happens alot. It's opensource, but its just not working for me. This issue seems to be quite common for some people if you search on the internet, so if you encounter it, odds are you won't be able to fix it. I'm on a Mac now. I can't remember this being a problem on PC.
BiglyBT is a good alternative that is open source and works without hiccups
