The W3C HTML specification doesn't have any support for DRM and so far the W3C HTML WG have rejected the publication of the EME proposal. Meanwhile your employer has apparently implemented the EME spec (i.e. HTML5 DRM) in all Chrome OS devices, the only browser vendor to do so as far as I know.
