Même s'il s'est présenté en tant que chef de projet sur OSNews.com, Daniel Robbins est bien le CEO de Gentoo Technologies, Inc.
Il semble publier très fréquemment sur developerworks, et ce depuis au moins deux ans sous le titre CEO de Gentoo http://www-109.ibm.com/cgi-bin/dWsearch.pl?selScope=dW&UserRestriction=Daniel+Robbins&Search.x=15&Search.y=7

He has also served as a contributing author for the Macmillan books Caldera OpenLinux Unleashed, SuSE Linux Unleashed, and Samba Unleashed. Daniel has been involved with computers in some fashion since the second grade, when he was first exposed to the Logo programming language as well as a potentially dangerous dose of Pac Man. This probably explains why he has since served as a Lead Graphic Artist at SONY Electronic Publishing/Psygnosis. Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary, and their daughter, Hadassah.
