The new QtMultimedia APIs were designed after much consideration of developer needs for extensibility, much more functionality (not least Video/Audio Capture) and of course plaform flexibility. The decision to build something new rather than completely re-architect Phonon was something the Qt development team thought long and hard about. But a new architecture is seen as the best solution to meet developer need
It is intended that they will become part of Qt at some future point once we have completed
Je ne pense donc pas m'etre "emballé". Au contraire, si tout se passe comme prevu, un hypothetique Qt 5 ne contiendra plus Phonon mais QtMobility Multimedia a la place.
Pour info je connais tres bien Phonon, je l'utilise et je contribue au code.

Ce journal parle uniquement de QtMobility, je connais parfaitement QtMultimedia fournit avec Qt-4.6 http://doc.trolltech.com/4.6-snapshot/qtmultimedia.html
A aucun moment je n'ai fait reference a QtMultimedia.
