Unfortunately, they never put in the effort that was necessary to finish the process, and now five years later we have still not seen a plan for compliance. 2) Extrait du mail final (20 mai 2009) qui annonce que la FSF abandonne les poursuites car Cisco a accepté les contraintes de la GPL :
"Software Foundation (FSF) and Cisco Systems, Inc. are pleased to announce that they have reached a joint agreement. Under the agreement, the FSF has agreed to dismiss its lawsuit against Cisco."
Analyse : La FSF a demandé en 2003 à Cisco de respecter la GPL et, après 5 ans de vaines parlottes sans aucun résultat, a fini par intenter un procès.
A peine 5 mois après cette assignation en justice Cisco capitule en rase campagne et accepte de respecter la GPL.
Commentaire : Il faut leur mettre le couteau juridique sous la gorge pour que les grosses boites bougent et acceptent de respecter la GPL !!
