As Bri said, we have not chosen a GUI API yet. WxWidgets and GTK+ are options, but there are a lot (and I mean, *A LOT*) of GUI solutions out there. Cross-platform (at least Linux, Windows and Mac OS X) definitely *is* a priority, so closed frameworks such as Cocoa or Microsoft MFC won't make the cut.
