Suite à cette proposition que je viens d'envoyer sur cette liste publique j'ai reçu l'information que le changement de licence pourrait finalement ne concerner que le code du serveur X et non les librairies qui sont liées lors de la compilation aux applications.
C'est déja mieux, mais comme la GPL s'applique à toutes les oeuvres qui dépendent d'un soft en GPL (et pas seulement aux oeuvres liées à un soft GPL lors d'une compilation), cela nécessiterait quand même que le serveur par défaut de toutes les distribs soit un serveur compatible avec la GPL.
Dès lors rien n'empêcherait de fournir séparément (par exemple par téléchargement) un 2e serveur utilisant une license incompatible avec la GPL.
Comme cette avancée n'est pas complètement satisfaisante, je vais continuer à faire valoir ma proposition sur cette liste. Vous pouvez m'y aider.
