This allowed the game to show more than the usual 4 colors on a CGA adapter, but it also made the game run unpredictably on later video cards. (And also in DOSBox, which does not seem to render the game properly unless you set the "machine" setting to "cga"; look for the "[dosbox]" section in your dosbox.conf file and change the "machine=..." line to "machine=cga".) »
