The key objective of this consortium is to set up an efficient registry that has a cost oriented approach while keeping a high quality standard in relation with the tradition of the Founder Members. An initial registration fee of 10 is proposed with the intention to reduce to 5 after 12 months. As EURid is cost based, this fee may reduce further, finances permitting.
A cost efficient approach means that the registration process needs to be fully automated, without manual interventions. This can only be obtained when the policy is liberal with very few restrictions. Such a policy is backed up by a simple and accessible Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedure.
