Hé bien GNOME n'est pas une mauvaise base en soi, mais ça demanderait un travail énorme à tous les niveaux : du design à l'implémentation en passant par une refondation des couches basses (nouveaux widgets et de quoi les positionner correctement en fonction des tailles d'écran). Ci-après un copier-coller de quelques échange sur le canal IRC #gnome-design :

and to plan the amount of work based on the time and human resources

Voilà, Ça permet de se faire une idée de là où le projet de GNOME sur Librem 5 en était vendredi dernier : en gros les gens de Purism viennent de rencontrer les dev de GNOME, et tout reste à faire. J'ai pas les compétences techniques pour juger, mais à vue de pif une version de GNOME opérationnelle sur les mobiles pour début 2020, ça me semble aussi irréaliste que souhaitable. Et j'aimerais énormément voir cela arriver...
