1) Unfortunately, existing VMF (NDLR: "Volume-managing filesystems") aren’t easily used on RHEL. ZFS isn’t an option RHEL can embrace due to licensing (Ubuntu notwithstanding.)
2) Btrfs has no licensing issues, but after many years of work it still has significant technical issues that may never be resolved
Bref, les ingénieurs de chez Red Hat ne voit jamais le bout de Btrfs et visiblement ne semblent même plus y croire. Donc ils vont faire autre chose (Stratis) car il y a une demande pour ce genre de système quand même.
