There's been a lot of fuss with this topic. The application's original name was K-3D, the letter K was choosen by the author Tim M. Shead because it had no meaning and at a time when the KDE project was unknown. As it happens the K in KDE may either stand for 'Kool' or nothing, as you wish!. So Manuel Bastioni proposed Kinka, which stands for 'K-3D Is Not a KDE Application'.

Donc strictement rien à voir avec kde ou QT . Si ca devait avoir un lien avec quelque chose je dirai plutôt gnome ... mais même pas.
