We had very rich cherries, 3rd record in the history because the spring came early this year. It was fine in the season of blooming and harvest.

Members of the club "Fushigi na Hana", they had a display at city library.
They make works about pressed flowers. They will display by August 23 (Sun.) and we can make pressed flowers from 10:00.

Young "ambassador" came to Tendo City from Tamana City, Kumamoto Prefecture. Tamana City has a plan to be another Shogi town "Tendo in east Japan, Tamana in west Japan". They went to the city office and stayed at the "Tendo Kougen" (heights). Next day they made shogi pieces by themselves and went to the "Yamadera", very famous point of view.

There is a national meeting of data technology for teachers of technical high school at the Tendo Hotel in the Tendo spa. As the delegate of Yamagata Prefecture, they displayed the Japanese Mikoshi with intelligent high techinology at Sagae technical high school.

From April 24 (Fri.) to May 17 (Sun.), there was the 23th national exhibiton of the sweets in Iwate Prefecture. The craftsmen in Tendo City joined that exhibition and got many prizes.

They had the 39th professional Shogi (Japanese chess) title match "Oui" on August 17 and 18 in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture. Mr.Yoshiharu HABU played with Mr.Yasumitsu SATOH with Meijin grade. At this period Mr.HABU won by 73th turn. They have a next period on August 27 in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture.
