Six Days of Road Rulers: Extreme's Kina is the newest alumni of the group
Here at the Blog, we're going to spend the next six days with bios of each of the alumni who are appearing on the upcoming Road Rules: Viewers' Revenge.
Age: 23
Hometown: Pennsville, New Jersey
Currently: Boston, Massachusetts
Challenges: Battle of the Sexes II, Gauntlet II, and The Duel
Challenge Record: 1-2
Elimination Round Record: 3-1
Kina came to the Road Rules scene as a vivacious, flirtacious, sensual girl who was looking to have fun and creating a bit of drama on her own. Raised by her grandparents when her mother was incapacitated by a brain aneruysm, Kina went on to attend the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She graduated with a degree on psychology and hopes to someday help children.
On her season, she bonded closely with her team, only to be sent home by a random process when her cast chose to draw names from a hat. She returned for a short-lived appearance on the Battle of the Sexes II only to be voted off quickly because of her newbie status. Later on, in the Gauntlet II, she ascended through the ranks of her team to earn the distinction of team captain throughout the whole series, sending three girls home. In the Duel, Kina narrowly missed the final five girls by being upset by underdog Svetlana (Key West).
She is currently dating Randy (San Diego). Can Kina maintain her impressive elimination record and pull off another win? Or will she be doomed to a life on the pit crew?
Tune in tomorrow when we catch up with Abram (South Pacific).
Check out Road Rules every Tuesday on MTV at 9PM.

A very short trailer for the new season of Road Rules has cropped up on MTV.com
Over at the Road Rules website, which currently has nothing on it and should be completely revamped in the next couple of days, a trailer for the new season of Road Rules has opened.
One of the most important things about this trailer, however, is what it reveals. There has been some question to if the pool of replacements would be newcomers or alumni. This trailer makes it seem as if they are newcomers. A casting call back in November also contributes to this notion.
Nevertheless, the trailers shows clips from past seasons and it's a great feeling for old fans who have missed the show since it went off the air in 2004. Here's some highlights:
13 seasons.
(Flashes title cards of several of the seasons)
163 missions.
(Flashes past missions)
And miles and miles of drama.
(Flashes clips of drama)
Road Rules is back.
(Flashes title cards of several castmembers)
But this season the rules have changed, with an all-star cast, and a group of eager newcomers ready to hop on board.
(Flashes of casts getting in their RVs)
This time, you decided who goes on the road, and who gets left behind.
(More random clips)
On this Road Rules, you rule.
(Premieres Tuesday, January 30 @ 9PM)
The several clips that I could gather are all jumbled up into a short one-minute trailer. Here are the clips I could make out:
Missions:
South Pacific's and catching/bungee jumping mission
Extreme's dog attack mission
Europe's running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain
South Pacific's buried alive mission
Extreme's dune buggy mission
Northern Trail's WWF mission
South Pacific's bungee jump off New Zealand's Sky Tower
Drama:
A sound byte from one of the Ayanna/Veronica fights on Semester at Sea.
Abe's physical altercation with Donnell on South Pacific.
Pua and Ayanna's fight after Ayanna distances herself from the group on Semester at Sea.
RVs/Eliminations:
Down Under checking out their RV for the first time.
Maximum Velocity Tour checking out their RV for the first time.
Patrick and Derrick greet Angela when she arrives on Extreme.
Kina tells her castmembers good-bye when she's kicked off Extreme.
Random clips:
Shane and Darrell (Campus Crawl) dancing in a club.
The Extreme cast painted in their naked mission.
The Quest in Spain during a mission.
The South Pacific cast doing the tire-flipping, strongman competition.
Susie and Kefla freaking out on the alligator farm mission in Down Under.
Veronica bungee-jumping in the start of Semester at Sea.

Don't forget: A brand new episode of the Duel airs tonight only on MTV
Tonight is another episode of the Duel. Unlike previous weeks in which we have told you the winner and loser of the Duel, we decided to give a break. It should be a surprise, as the preview for next week shows CT (Paris) in potential danger from being sent home.
Like we told you when the season first started, there will be several weeks in which we won't spoil the outcomes. So, be sure to check out the Duel tonight, as another male will be going home.
For those of you who are disappointed, we'll re-hash the outcome of the season, which we announced back in July. To find out the outcome of this season, highlight the following blurb: The final four are Brad (San Diego), Jodi (Extreme), Svetlana (Key West) and Wes (Austin). Wes and Jodi win.

Aftershow: Derrick shows up to chat it up with Blair for a sixth time, which is a new record
This week, appearing for the sixth time, Derrick (Extreme) showed up on the Aftershow to chat it out with Blair (The Quest).
Derrick wanted to face Wes and wanted to take on the "performance-enhancing", cocky attitude. He calls it the funnest Duel/Gauntlet he's been in. Blair asks his about the kissing bandit, where he found himself kissing Casey (Fresh Meat) in Brazil. But he doesn't remember it unfortunately.
Blair then brings up the "I'm a better kisser than he is" when Jodi (Extreme) is crying over Evan (Fresh Meat) and then it shows Derrick and Jodi kiss. Derrick gives Diem (Fresh Meat) support for hooking up with CT (Paris) because they're two cool people being happy together.
Now, they play the Basket Game:
Paula (Key West): He didn't get to see the drunken moments. She's pretty cool and she's got kind eyes.
Johnny (Key West): Funny. Steals his thunder.
Casey (Fresh Meat): Got to make out with her and didn't even remember it.
Tyler (Key West): Glad he sent him home. Douchebag. Didn't see the negativity he gives out. Should watch the show to see how he ends up looking after he spreads his negativity.
The Sh(* You Didn't See: Derrick wrestling with Kenny (Fresh Meat) on a hill. Kina (Extreme) wrestling Eric (Fresh Meat). A group fight with a whole bunch of castmembers.

Randy and Kina are still a couple; Kina gives an interview with an online radio station
Here are the Blog, we get tons of questions in our email everyday. One of the most commonly asked questions: Are Randy (San Diego) and Kina (Extreme) still together? Last time we saw them "together" was when they both filmed the Gauntlet II. But, now we can officially tell you that the two of them are still together and going strong.
Also, Kina was on this radio show talking about the Duel. (The radio show is on 560AM in Balitmore. If you're listening in, her interview starts at 1:18:23. She talks about how the cast reacted to the Beth (Los Angeles) and Tina (South Pacific) incident, how she interpreted Diem's (Fresh Meat) removing her wig, how she and Randy are together, and even how Angela (Extreme) was on Entourage.
It's a good interview, so check it out!

Another Duel chatfest: Evan will also be chatting it up with BuddyTV tonight
Evan (Fresh Meat) will also be chatting it up with fans in the BuddyTV chatrooms.
If you're still not clued into what BuddyTV is, it's this chat platform where you can interact with a moderator who has a camera and a microphone pointed straight at them. In the case of Evan and Derrick (Extreme), they will be chatting while the Duel is airing on TV.
Evan will be on BuddyTV from 9:30 to 11:00PM EST. Don't forget to catch both Evan and Derrick tonight while you catch the latest episode of the Duel!

Don't forget to catch Derrick tonight in his online chat with BuddyTV
Derrick (Extreme) has made a regular habit of showing up at BuddyTV in chatting with fans of the show.
Here's how it works: You go to the website at 10PM PST. Derrick will be in the chatroom with a camera and a mic pointed straight at him. He'll sit there and watch the episode along with all you PST people (Tape the episode if you want to watch it along with him.), and he responds to any comments or questions that you may have about the episode.
It's a nice way to interact with a castmember and ask someone up front questions about what was going down in Brazil. So, if you're available, tonight is the BuddyTV chat with Derrick.

Derrick is a TV jockey for BuddyTV again for this season of the Duel
Derrick (Extreme) is returning to Buddy TV once again this season, guiding you through all the episodes of The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Duel.
What is Buddy TV? Buddy TV is an interactive program where you can watch and chat with Derrick while simultaneously watching the Duel. The only thing is: he'll be doing the show on central time. So if you're not on central time, you won't be able to watch the show with him.
Tonight, he'll be doing the Duel premiere episode at 9PM CT. (That's in about half-an-hour.) So don't forget to check Derrick out in BuddyTV.
Update: Derrick's chat is over since the show is now over in Central time. We'll update the site with more information on the latest episode soon. We'll also keep you updated on the appearances that Derrick makes on BuddyTV.

Katie will leave to Chicago within the next week because Derrick has appearances until November
So, Katie (The Quest), who talked about moving to Chicago two weeks ago, over at MySpace, has recently mentioned that she will move out sooner than expected.
The impetus behind a quick move? Derrick (Extreme) will be unavailable to drive her from Los Angeles to Chicago because he'll have appearance booked from this next week to November. I know what many people are thinking... Doesn't that mysteriously line up with the Challenge film date of October 16? Well, yes. However, technically, Katie mentioned that the move itself would happen on the 15th, so Derrick may or may not be on this next Challenge.

Derrick hooks up with Diem and Casey; Sign the petition to save Road Rules
If you haven't already, be sure to check out the official MySpace of the Real World/Road Rules Blog.
In Challenge news, we have some small hookup-related information about The Fresh Meat Challenge and the upcoming Challenge currently filming in Brazil. Both have to do with Derrick (Extreme) and his love of the newbies. In the Fresh Meat Challenge, Derrick took "teamwork" to the next level when he hooked up with Diem (Fresh Meat). As you know, Diem is his partner and I hear the two get pretty far in the Challenge. As for the new Challenge filming in Brazil, Derrick wasted no time and reportedly hooked up with Casey (Fresh Meat), (Wes' (Austin) partner).
Also, sign this petition that was just started by a fan to save Road Rules from cancellation. BMP recently pitched the reformatted version of Road Rules to MTV and is still awaiting word to see if Road Rules will be picked up again. Sign the petition to help the process be moved along.
Don't forget to watch Mike (Back to New York) and Trishelle (Las Vegas) on Fear Factor tonight.

Randy and Kina are nervous about the final male Gauntlet; Ace appears on an episode of the Surreal Life
Tonight marks the last episode of the Gauntlet where someone will be voted out. A man will be voted out of tonight's episode. Highlight the following text to see who will be going home:
The men are obviously fearing being sent into the Gauntlet. It's the last mission before the grand prize and no one wants to go home. With a slight lead over the Veterans, the Rookies still can't manage to pull out a win this time. With Kina (Extreme) fresh off her win, she fears that Randy (San Diego) will be put into the Gauntlet. Her fears are realized when Alton (Las Vegas) decides to send in Randy... In the last Gauntlet of the competition, Randy is eventually sent home, leaving Kina to face the final mission on her own... With the teams finalized, both teams are energized and ready to fight in the final mission.
Ace (Paris) appeared on last night's episode of the Surreal Life 6. Typically, there's a reality television star amongst the cast. (In Season 2, it was Trishelle (Las Vegas).) But this season, the existing cast of six got to choose the reality star to live with them. The choices were Ace, Corey Clark (American Idol), Maven (Tough Enough), Scott Long (Big Brother) and John (Survivor 9). After surviving three eliminations, it came down to Ace and Maven. Then it was dropped that the women of the house would choose and the women chose Maven, saying Ace would've been "too much of a ham".

Ibis appears on Overdrive to talk about the Gauntlet 2
Overdrive Episode Summary
Ibis (Extreme) | Monday March 13, 2006
The Interview
Ibis revealed her and Kina (Extreme) had an alliance before the game started. They are friends and agreed to vote everyone else off. It all went well until Cara (South Pacific) left and Ibis began to suck at missions. She said having Cara made her look better. She admitted Susie (Australia) was a good competitor and voting her off wasn't an option. Blair compliments her on her ability not to
care what people think and not be fake around cameras.
Role Playing
Blair pretended to be Jodi (Extreme) and Ibis was herself. It went something like this:
Blair/Jodi:(crying) "Ibis, I'm trying real hard and I don't understand, all i want to do is make friends, but everyone thinks I am a slut."
Ibis: "Let's face it when you're hookin up with one guy the first day and sleeping with another the next day its not gonna work out very nice for you. Theres a camera two feet away from you taping every lick and suck! I don't know, I don't know what to tell you man."
Now Blair as Jillian (Extreme)
Blair/Jillian: "I've just graduated middle school and I'm doing my first challenge. I don't understand why everyone's hating me. I knew about the alliance and told everyone about it. Maybe I was misinformed and maybe gave the wrong information, but I don't understand why people hate me."
Ibis: "First of all, f*ck you first of all! What were you thinking playing the devil and God at the same time, trying to be the middle person. Mind you, me, who never liked you, talking sh*t to Kina behind your back trying to help you out hok you up with ideas and ways to handle the situation and you f*ck me? You screw me? I will kill you what are you doing? Psycho!"
Something obviously went on with those two that we didn't see. Ibis was genuinely angry and admitted she couldn't let "it" go.
Beat Blair Challenge: Blind Taste Test
Blindfolded, Ibis and Blair feed each other food and guess what it is.
Ibis correctly guessed a grape, a brownie, a chocolate chip cookie, chocolate, and a pretzel.
Blair guessed onion, tofu (which he first guessed as a car tire) ,a lemon, and a sardine (he gagged a lot after eating this. He got the hot pepper wrong.
Wheel of Truth
Me Likey:
Ibis revealed she thinks her best physical feature is her eyes (Blair agreed).
Me No Likey:
She said her worst quality is thinking she knows everything. Her bigggest fear is frogs because she was "attacked" by them when shewas young. She peed in her bed because she couldn't walk on the floor for fear frogs woul eat her feet.
Ask Blair
She asked him how many serious girlfriends he has had. He never actually answered, only revealing he likes videogames and comics. Therefore, women don't like him.
The S*#t You Didn't See
Ibis complaining about her bad room with from an infested balcony. Robin (San Diego) pretending like she peed in Katie's (The Quest) bed, (references to Tonya (Chicago) and pillow Shi*t*ng were made), Derrick (Extreme) eating random stuff when wasted, and everyone playing around in the pool.

Derrick beat Brad in the Gauntlet, pulling an upset
In one of the most stunning upsets in the whole season, Derrick (Extreme) beat Brad (San Diego) in the Gauntlet. While our notes had Brad making the finals and Derrick bowing out right before the end, Derrick pulled off an upset last night. While we're fairly certain of who will end up bowing out, we apologize and are shocked by the turn of events.

TVGuide cheers Alton for her superb performance at Challenges; Jodi and Alton's relationship takes a step further
Alton (Las Vegas) current leader of the Male Rookies and avid climber is mentioned in this upcoming week's edition of TVGuide. While TVGuide didn't seem to know whether or not Alton makes it to the end, they mention his performance against Jeremy (South Pacific) as proof that Alton should be crowned King of the Gauntlet (if there were such a thing).
Speaking of the Gauntlet, Monday marks yet another new episode of the Gauntlet II. Again, the following are spoilers for the episode. If you want to figure out what happens in this and future episodes, highlight the following text:
As we see in the previews for the episode, Jodi (Extreme) and Alton's relationship is thoroughly examined as the end nears. While there are many criticizing the relationship because of its ephemeral nature, Alton and Jodi contemplate their fate after they leave Trindad and Tobago. Now since it is a Male Gauntlet Day, Derrick (Extreme) and Alton are both up on the chopping block. While we're not 100% sure, it seems like this will be a victory for the Rookies. In that case, expect Derrick to face off against Brad (San Diego). Although Derrick has shown a lot of heart, expect Brad to send Derrick home.

Jodi clears the air between her, Danny, Adam, and Mark in the Gauntlet
Overdrive Episode Summary
Jodi (Extreme) | Tuesday February 7, 2006
Danny, Adam and Mark
So in this week's interview, everyone expected that Blair would get right into the juicy questions, but Jodi managed to avoid them altogether. She spoke briefly about her argument with Danny (Extreme) and how she was just sticking up for herself because he was yelling at her. Then they moved into her hookup with Adam (The Quest). In a previous show, Adam had already told Blair that they hooked up the first day. But when she said it never went past flirting, Blair just let it go. She then explained that the relationship between her and Mark (USA Tour 1) actually happened only a little before this show started taping. Mark actually wrote an email to her mom claiming that he was falling in love with Jodi. (She still has the email!) He lead her to believe that he was serious about her and then soon afterwards told her over the phone that he needed space. She never heard from him until the show, where it was thrown in her face that he was still interested in Robin (San Diego). -(submitted by Heather)
The Beat Blair Challenge
Blair competed against Jodi in a competition to see who could cry first. Overdrive put together video clips of Jodi crying over her reality television experiences which was very entertaining, and she was victorious over Blair.
Finally Blair wanted some dirt on the cast. Jodi participated in a word association game and these were her answers...
-Alcohol : Beer
-Landon (Philadelphia) : Cute
-Adam : Hot
-Alton (Las Vegas) : Hot
-Mark : Idiot
-Robin : Cool
-Danny : &*%$##
-Veronica (Semester At Sea) : Manipulative
-Rachel (Campus Crawl) : Strong
-Blair : Sweet -(submitted by James)
Then it was on to "Me No Likey". Jodi considers not doing what you say will do a deal breaker in a relationship. She also dislikes people reading over her shoulder (kind of a strange pet peeve) and when people complain.
Last but not least, we have the "Sh*t You Didn't See". First we see Landon, Jodi, Katie (The Quest), and Adam (Paris) doing some interesting dance moves. Then we see Jodi and Alton sleeping next to each other in bed all snug and comfy (I wonder what happened!). -(submitted by Ben H.)
Remember, Cara (South Pacific) will be appearing on Overdrive nexr week. This should be a doozy of an Overdrive. I'm also told that Comcast on Demand users can actually access episodes through their TV. Thanks for the visitors who submitted their reviews!

Susie, Katie, Ibis, Kina all fight via online channels
Due to some minor difficulties, the Blog has missed another week in updating. While the whole MTV/online audience was captivated by the Susie (Down Under)/Katie (The Quest)/Ibis (Extreme)/Kina (Extreme) controversy last week that resulted from Susie's appearance on the Aftershow, Susie has just opened up her own MySpace and new website. (If you missed it, a few of the castmembers were bothered by Susie's remarks on the Aftershow.) Susie's MySpace can be found here, while her website, www.susiemeister.com, will open in the next week.
