[Dx-qsl] Envelopes

Yes, that shipping cost is extraordinarily high. Not worth it, IMHO. Also,
from what I can see, neither the outbound nor the return envelope are
peel-and-seal (which I personally prefer) nor do they have a security tint,
which is a show-stopper for me sending to dodgy places.
My experience since about 2004 is pretty simple. Outbound gets a #10
security tinted envelope, return gets a #6-3/4 peel-and-seal security
envelope, in which fits most standard-size cards.
Every year a few replies have issues, none of which has been problematic. In
most of the cases, the DX station supplies his own envelope (for which I
thank them, personally, each time). Other times they'll tape the envelope
closed over the oversized card. Once (and only once) a card was folded in
half. Other than JA cards and a few from Europe, most of the cards out there
are small enough to fit in 6-3/4 size returns, and those are light enough to
get the 10gm rate in the UK.

I've been using these JAM envelopes for several years now. No DX station has
found it necessary to cut them down and ALL DX QSLs have fit inside.
My only complaint is with the shipping charges. I just ordered 100 of each
size and the shipping charge via UPS was 16ドル for ground delivery. It would
have been 6ドル via Priority Mail.
