International Student Support Room
Living away from home and adjusting to a new academic system brings both excitement and challenges. If you encounter difficulties, be sure to seek help from student support resources on campus early, so that we have a better chance of supporting you in overcoming challenging situations.
We provide various forms of support online, and also offer individual or private sessions to help improve your situation. ISSR also offers opportunities to connect you with on- and off-campus communities, giving you the chance to deepen your understanding of Japan and Japanese society. We also assist international students in exploring career possibilities in Japan.
ISSR Advisers are experienced in the issues and challenges that international students encounter in Japan, and they provide services in both Japanese and English. We also have a Chinese-speaking adviser. Personal counseling for psychological and mental health concerns is provided by staff trained in counseling.
SSR provides the following support services: Japanese and English (available anytime), and Chinese (available except for Friday).
