Faculty Skills Course
Pursue professional development and jump-start your faculty career with fundamental skills you need to succeed in academics. The Faculty Skills Course provides you in-depth, fully online training in fundamental skills you'll need as a faculty member, including time management, incorporating learners into your clinical workflow, and writing for academic publication. Each module in this 7-hour self-directed course includesa variety of activities, including video interviews with experienced faculty, interactive modules, readings, and self-paced assignments.
The course is designed to allow you to work at your own pace and return to the resources as often as you need.
Technical Requirements
In order to get the full experience of these courses, we recommend that the courses be viewed on a desktop computer, laptop, and most tablets. Smartphones are not supported.
How To Begin
Go to your My Account page on stfm.org . Click Online Learning from the top menu. Select the Faculty Skills Course from the Courses section of the online learning center. Under Enrollment options, click Enroll.

If you have an STFM account, click My Account to log in, then use the Store link at the top of your profile page to purchase the course.
If you don't have an stfm.org account, click Create Account to make one, then use the Store link at the top of your profile page to purchase the free course.
