Key Initiatives
Competency-Based Medical Education
An STFM task force, funded by the ABFM Foundation, has developed resources and opportunities to help programs to meet ACGME requirements and ABFM expectations for competency-based medical education.
Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS)
Valuable resources, including a year-long STFM FM Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Educator's Certificate Program and "Teach POCUS" online modules, help train family medicine faculty on the fundamentals of how to use and teach POCUS.
Artificial Intelligence Curriculum
Artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) are transforming primary care, and learners want to participate in the revolution. This curriculum aims to equip learners with the skills needed to use AI/ML in their practice and ensure responsible and ethical use.
