Mushrooms in IWASAKI Tsunemasa's Honzo zufu (Illustrated herbal)
The 96-volume, 92-booklet Honzo zufu compiled by IWASAKI Tsunemasa is one of the largest botanical pictorial works of the Edo period. Published in 1830–1844 (Tenpo 1–Koka 1), it illustrates around 2,000 plant species. Mushrooms appear in six of the booklets.
