ティム・モードリン(Tim Maudlin)
1958年、アメリカのワシントンD.C. 生まれ。イェール大学で学んだのち、1986年にピッツバーグ大学で博士号(科学史・科学哲学)を取得。現在はニューヨーク大学哲学科教授。またジョン・ベル物理学基礎論研究所(John Bell Institute for the Foundations of Physics)の創立者・所長でもある。専門は物理学基礎論、形而上学、論理学。本書Philosophy of Physics の2巻以外に、以下の著書を公刊している。New Foundations for Physical Geometry: The Theory of Linear Structures (Oxford University Press, 2014); Quantum Non-Locality and Relativity: Metaphysical Intimations of Modern Physics, 3rd Edition (Wiley-Blackwell, 2011)
