Under the grant aid project 'Upgrading Health Centres to District Hospitals in Copperbelt Province', construction work is underway at two sites, Chambori, Kitwe District, and Musiri, Ndola District, in the Copperbelt Province. Work at Chambori is progressing on schedule, and construction at Musiri is preparing to begin. Once completed, the health centres will be upgraded to first-level hospitals with the capacity to provide more advanced health services such as caesarean sections and basic surgical procedures. It will help improve access to health services in the districts and reduce congestion at hospitals in and around the districts and the province.
