Outline of JICA Viet Nam Office
- 1992JICA started its cooperation activities in Viet Nam by posting Japanese experts and receiving participants from Viet Nam for training in Japan.
- 1994Signing of the Exchange of Note of Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV)Program.
- 1995 JICA Viet Nam Office was officially established, first batch of JOCV members was sent to Viet Nam.
- 1998 Signing of the Technical Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Viet Nam and the Government of Japan.
- 2002 JICA Ho Chi Min Liaison Office was opened (current JICA Viet Nam Office Ho Chi Minh City Branch)
- 2008 A new JICA launched in October. (JICA merged with the development assistance section of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC))
