JICA President Tanaka held talks with UNRWA Commissioner-General Lazzarini

On October 6, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko held talks with Mr. Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) at JICA Headquarters in Tokyo.

President Tanaka began the talks by thanking Mr. Lazzarini for UNRWA and JICA's long-standing cooperative relationship. In response, Mr. Lazzarini stated that he would like to further deepen collaboration with JICA in relation to business.

The two exchanged views on the possibilities for future cooperation, such as support for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, acceptance of international students, and staff exchange.
