Economic Effects of Road Infrastructure Development in the Greater Mekong Subregion(2020_2_40_015)

Outline

In the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), composed of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, and Yunnan Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, the East?West, North?South, and Southern Economic Corridors (cross-border transport infrastructure) have been developed as the flagship project of the GMS Economic Cooperation Program under an initiative of the Asian Development Bank. In this research project, we empirically analyse the economic effects of road infrastructure development projects such as economic corridors on trade, investment, and other economic indicators.
