The Decaying State of Venezuela: Socialism in the 21th Century and Democracy (2018_2_40_014)
Outline
Venezuela has been suffering from multiple severe political, economic, and social crises. In economic aspects, negative economic growth for four consecutive years, four-digit hyperinflation, and severe shortages of food and medicine have brought agony to daily life in Venezuela. In political aspects, decay in constitutional order and democracy has worsened so significantly that the country has been strongly criticized by the international community. The purpose of this project is to publish a book to explain the situation and the background of such crises from a multidisciplinary approach, for general readers.
