Decaying State of Venezuela: Socialism in the 21th Century and Democracy (2018_2_40_014)
Outline
Venezuela has been suffering from multiple severe political, economic, and social crises. In the economic aspects, negative economic growth for four consecutive years, four-digit-hyperinflation, and severe shortages of food and medicine have agonized daily life. In the political aspects, the decay of constitutional order and democracy has worsened so significantly that the country has been strongly critisized by the international community. The purpose of this project is to publish a book to explain the situation and the backgrounds of the crises from multidisciplinary approaches for the general readers.
