私は、現代の韓国が近代の歴史をどのように記憶し、どのように語り継いでいるのかを研究しています。歴史認識は、単なる過去の出来事ではなく、「今」を生きる私たちのアイデンティティを形作る重要な要素です。そして、そのアイデンティティが社会の中でどのように正当化され、どのような政治的な対立を生んでいるのかを明らかにすることが、この研究の目的です。

My research focuses on how modern history is remembered and narrated in contemporary Korea. Historical consciousness is not merely about past events; it plays a crucial role in shaping our present identity. My goal is to examine how this identity is legitimized within society and how it generates political conflicts.

国家間の関係だけでなく、国内でも「過去の認識」をめぐる政治的対立が起こることがあります。では、こうした歴史認識をめぐるリスクにどのように向き合えばよいのでしょうか?この問いに対する答えを皆さんと議論して探っていきたいと思います。

Political conflicts over national history can arise not only between nations but also within a country. How should we confront the risks associated with historical memory? I look forward to engaging in discussions with you to explore answers to this question.
