Internship/International Field work

本研究科は院生の海外における実習や研修・インターン活動を奨励し、支援しています。国際協力の実践の場で活躍できる人材養成の教育体制として、海外実習・インターンシップを授業科目のひとつとして単位認定し、学生の渡航費用の一部を補助しています。実習では、各政府の政策がどのように実施されているのかを追跡し、また、国際機関や援助機関の実際の活動に触れ、さらに企業、農村などでインタビューやデータ収集の方法を習得する訓練を行っています。

GSICS promotes and encourages overseas internships and fieldwork for students in international and other organizations in different countries. International students are welcome to participate, although some restrictions may apply. Internships and international fieldwork are offered in the form of formal classes with credits, and with part of the costs subsidized. Students experience first-hand how government policies are implemented in developing countries, visit international organizations and aid agencies, and learn methods of interviewing and data collection in different situations such as with small enterprises and in rural areas. Internships with international agencies are also available. GSICS has been working to provide students with more opportunities to engage in international fieldwork and internships in order to ensure that GSICS graduates are competent and well prepared to contribute through their international work.
